eWrite on AllTop

Early in December I submitted this blog to get listed on Alltop using their submission form.
AllTop is a site which displays your latest 5 blog posts on a page along with other popular blogs. Alltop.com has a section for Ireland at Ireland.Alltop.com
On December 28th I received an email back from Alltop informing me that this blog had been added. (Waaay down the bottom, gotta start somewhere.)
I know there are a few people who disagree with Alltop and for some good reasons. I’m actually a fan of the Ireland page and I use it often enough to get a quick glimpse of any new posts worth reading. I use Google Reader but I don’t keep it open in a browser tab all day and this is a quick way to look across 40+ blogs for new posts without logging in.
As Damien points out in his post about Alltop several months ago, I am concerned about the Alltop site showing up before this blog in Google Search results. I’m curious to see if this happens and I’ll be looking out for it.
I’m not overly worried though as there are already blogs out there that have written about eWrite and they sometimes appear higher on Google search results than this blog!
If Alltop causes problems, at least I can contact them and ask them to remove my site, I won’t be the first.
On the plus side, Google Analytics tells me that Alltop has referred 2 visitors to this blog so far and the number of Feedburner subscribers has gone up too over the past few days, maybe its related.
In the end, All I’m interested in is writing about the ups and downs of developing eWrite, any opportunity to gather readers that can give me feedback the better.
