Jack and Jill Childrens Foundation

January 4, 2009

Damien is running a competition to encourage people to recycle their old mobile phones for the Jack & Jill Foundation.

For everyone that donates one or more mobile phones to the charity, they’ll be entered into a draw for three prizes (First, second and third out of hat) - a Nokia 5220, a Voyager 815 bluetooth headset and an Elextex rubberised portable keyboard for phones.

Head over to Damiens blog post and add a comment to be in with a chance.

Over the Christmas period I pulled out old mobile phones I used to use and I asked my family to do the same. I’ve collected together 7 phones so far with more to come.

Reading the Jack & Jill website, they now also recycle Computers, Laptops, Monitors, Printers, CD’s, DVD’s and cables. I have absolutely tonnes of computer parts, PC’s and Laptops that could be recycled. The rest of my family have too, we’re a techie family.

Tomorrow I’ll phone Jack & Jill to find out the best way to recycle all of these parts, I might need a few couriers!

  1. Is that a 9210 I spy there?
@stroughtonsmith (on twitter) is looking for one of those, I believe!
I got a new phone the day before yesterday. I’m gonna recycle my old one once I manage to get off my arse and get an envelope!

  2. Hi Aislinn,

Its a 9110, one of the older ones. Its broken though, it got squashed while in my coat pocket a couple of years ago.
