- 100 customers from around the world have paid deposits to secure their allocation of the exclusive T.50 supercar
- Development of T.50 well underway with plans on schedule to build first customer cars in January 2022
- The T.50 is the purest, lightest, most driver-centric supercar ever created
Gordon Murray Automotive has announced that it has sold all of its T.50 supercars – the final customer secured their allocation of the exclusive 100-unit production run within 48 hours of the car's global premiere. Customers from around the world snapped-up the 986kg, V12-powered supercar paying a £600,000 deposit towards the £2.36m (before taxes) total to secure ownership.
Professor Gordon Murray: "Selling all of the 100 allocated T.50 supercars so quickly is extremely satisfying. Despite challenging global economic conditions, it's gratifying to know that the type of customers who have purchased the car appreciate the level of engineering expertise that the T.50 delivers."
With genuine customer interest significantly exceeding the 100 models that will be built, the Gordon Murray Automotive team conducted a thorough analysis of each customer's application. With a goal of creating the purest, lightest, most driver-centric supercar ever, Murray's preference was for owners who would use the supercar regularly.
The T.50 is now well into development, the mule car will run in late August with the prototype vehicles running just two months later. As the car's 2022 manufacturing date approaches, owners will be invited to personalised specification and fitting sessions.
The design of the race / track oriented version of the T.50 is well underway with prospective buyers early to express significant interest in the limited production run of 25 units – some of which are already sold.
